Increasing use of Mobile and fading Innocence
Protect the Innocence that these eyes hold
Let the buds go through their natural growth of becoming flowers.
Innocence is something that is lost once is lost forever. You can't be innocent again once you cross that bridge, taking to the harsh realities. Children have pure souls, the responsibility to protect them lies on us. The increasing use of mobile phones and social media is significantly affecting the minds of the new generation. As it is the era of AI and gadgets, we cannot isolate them from these things, but we can diversify their interests. At Pehchaan we are revamping the old methods of learning with new ones and instilling good values in our students through different activities of their interest.
Storytelling
Remember the stories of Panchtantra which our Dadi and Nani used to tell us. Recently there was a storytelling session organised at school which was quite engaging for the students. Stories touch the cognitive side of children's minds and help them to be creative and learn faster. We as Indians are never short of stories, each one of carries a bag with us. Then, why not we impart it to the new ones.
Creating Children Libraries
There are a lot of books that are specifically written for kids, these books have to reach them. No audio-video representation can compete with the impact of reading. When we read, each one of us creates a different world, imagination has no limits. As Einstein has also said, " If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales.''
Physical and Board games
Games play a significant role in the overall development of children. Due to the increasing burden of studies, today students get less time to do physical activities. Even in the meantime, they prefer to sit at home and play video games rather than go outside. We at Pehchaan strive to provide an environment to the students in which they can mingle with each other and play games that children used to play.
The world is running at a fast pace for different sorts of development. The newer generation is going to be smarter than us but leading these sharp brains to the right paths is still in our hands. Living is not only about intelligence, it is about compassion and respecting the dignity of all beings.
Protect the tenderness and the innocence that each child holds. Children are the future of humanity.
