'Pehchaan ki Diwali '
Our childhood memories stay with us forever, no matter how old we get in life.
Pehchaan The Street School is a non-profit organization for children deprived of education due to the adverse living conditions; these children come from backgrounds with the fewest amenities at their disposal. When they see other children living near their society having access to all expensive things, it is very likely that they start feeling of being left behind and discarded. Thus, it becomes necessary to create an environment at school that is helpful for their social and cultural development. As the word Pehchaan means 'identity', it try to make the students realize that no constraints can stop them from pursuing their dreams, and each one has something special that is recognizable. Our country believes in 'Vasudev Kutumbkam (The World is One Family); thus, it is our general responsibility to spread the message of generosity and togetherness on this auspicious occasion of Diwali.
Most genuine souls reside in children; they don't carry the glasses of good and bad experiences with them but just accept the world as it resonates with their fanciful ideas. All their whimsical dreams deserve to come true.
Each festival teaches us that as humans we have some responsibility towards our society; the sense of togetherness that is inscribed into our hearts by the culture should never be dimmed by any changes coming with time.
Years ago, God incarnated as a human being as 'Lord Rama', who sacrificed his whole life for the welfare of people and established a society of principles and kindness. On the occasion of Diwali every year, we celebrate his win over Ravana, the demon, who, in the realm of his anger and pride, could not understand the cruelty of his actions. We are told different stories related to the Ramayana; ultimately, the core of every religious epic resides in the realization of humanity.
Pehchaan The Street School (Trust) through the initiative ‘Pehchaan ki Diwali’ is spreading the message of unity and generosity. With the help of many considerate people, Pehchaan every year on Diwali arranges basic amenities, sweets, and stationery stuff for the children.
